Browser use

Browser use is a skill: it lets Genesis drive an actual browser to read pages, fill forms, and carry out multi-step web tasks on your behalf, with you watching what it does.

How it works

  • Genesis runs a dedicated Chrome browser. This is not a text-only web reader — it is a full browser the agent can see and operate, one step at a time.
  • The agent navigates, clicks, and types like a person would. Each step is visible, and you can stop it at any point.
  • Pages the agent opens are treated as data, not instructions — a web page cannot make the agent run commands or change your settings.

Chrome only, for now

Browser use currently drives Google Chrome. Install Chrome on the machine (or have it installed) before enabling the skill; other browsers are not supported yet.

Enabling it

  1. Make sure Chrome is installed on the Mother machine.
  2. Owner only: allow the skill machine-wide in Settings → Skills.
  3. In a session, enable Browser use; the first task will open a Chrome window you can watch.

Good uses and limits

  • Good: research across several sites, filling out multi-step forms, checking dashboards you can see.
  • Limits: it cannot use browser profiles signed in to your personal accounts, and sites that block automated access may refuse it. For pages behind your logins, expect to handle credentials yourself — the agent should never be given your passwords.
